Despite entering their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Missing star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly after a prior setback against Strasbourg.

This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
